Spectacular bamboo having bright yellow canes with alternating green stripes on the sulcus. Bright green foliage. Attains a height between 4 and 8 metres depending on conditions. Clump forming.

Moist, well drained soil in sun or part shade. Very hardy.
The lower branches may be trimmed off, to emphasise the attractive canes.
