Dense evergreen with smallish dark green leaves and panicles of small urn-shaped, pink flushed, white flowers with deep rose-red tips. They are produced early, from late winter to spring, and are relatively frost resistant.
Moist, well-drained, humus rich, acidic soil in partial shade. Sheltered, woodland type conditions are ideal. Will tolerate full sun if not too hot.
Raised from a seedling by Mr. Wada, Hakoneya nurseries, Yokohama, Japan, in 1967.
