Very attractive American hybrid with freely produced dusky deep red flowers in large pendant panicles in late winter and spring. Dense, upright habit and good glossy dark green foliage.

Moist, well-drained, humus rich, acidic soil in partial shade. Sheltered, woodland type conditions are ideal. Will tolerate full sun if not too hot.
Relatively disease resistant.
