description:
Candelabra type primula, deciduous or semi-evergreen rosettes of obovate to inversely lanceolate, toothed, mid-green leaves, up to 22cm long and often with reddish midribs. Several whorls of purple-pink flowers with yellow eyes, on sturdy, white or grey-downy stems in summer.

cultivation:
Moist, peaty, neutral to acid soil in part shade. Tolerates full sun if the soil remains reliably damp.
