Strong growing, wide spreading deciduous tree producing abundant clusters of fragrant, double white flowers which open from pink buds and become purplish-pink as they fade. Long flowering period, late in spring. The young leaves are copper coloured, becoming green with maturity and turning orange-red in autumn.

Any reasonable, well drained soil in sun.
If required, prune in summer.

By budding or grafting.
