Heavy crops of small dark blackish blue fruits, with a good sharp flavour, produced in late August or early September. Small deciduous tree of densely twiggy habit, clusters of small white flowers in spring.

Any reasonable, well drained soil in sun or light part shade. Grows well on clay soils.
Partly self fertile. Polination group D.

Good for cooking and preserves.
Can be used for informal hedging and makes a good windbreak.
