Small rounded deciduous tree. Clusters of small white flowers in spring followed in autumn by prolific, round, yellowish-white fruits mottled with red on the sun-facing side.

Any reasonable, well drained soil in sun or light part shade. Grows well on clay soils.

Edible fruits, but with a tarte flavour. Good for making preserves.
