description:
Very slow growing evergreen tree or large shrub. Grows as a single upright stem for many years, with juvenile leaves hanging down at odd angles. They are long, narrow and dark purplish bronze with an orange midrib. Mature plants develop a rounded head with dark green, palmate leaves.
Umbels of star-shaped, greenish white flowers, followed on female plants by small round black fruits.

cultivation:
Well drained fertile soil in full sun or partial shade and a sheltered, mild location. Reasonably drought tolerant.
