Upright and arching, well branched thorny stems covered with a silvery white bloom. Leaves are dark green above and white underneath. Edible yellow fruits.
Any reasonable well-drained soil in full sun or part shade.
Prune hard in late winter for best stem effect, or in autumn to encourage fruiting.

Interesting stems in winter.
Can also be used to create impenetrable boundary thickets.
