description:
Small tree of upright growth. Pinnate leaves with narrow leaflets and held longer into autumn than most other rowans. White flowers in spring, followed by bunches of orange-red berries, freely produced in autumn, even on young plants.

cultivation:
Best in moderately fertile, moist, well drained soil, preferably neutral to acid, but quite tolerant of most reasonable conditions. Quite drought tolerant. Sun or light dappled shade.

propagation:
From seed.

usage:
Excellent, well behaved tree for small gardens.

Introduced to cultivation by the Taiwan Forestry Institute in 1981.
