Half-hardy annual, single flowerheads with petals striped mahogany-red and yellow. Compact bushy habit with deeply cut, toothed, pinnate leaves which are pungently aromatic when bruised.
Needs full sun and moderately fertile well drained soil. Will grow in both clay and sandy soils.
From seed which usually germinates within 2 weeks. Sow in March in a greenhouse.
Supposed to repel insects and used in companion planting with vegetable crops such as potatoes and tomatoes.
Bred by Thompson and Morgan, a dwarf version of 'Striped Marvel'
