Half-hardy annual. Compact, fairly dwarf habit and ferny, finely-cut, aromatic leaves with a citrus scent. Small, bright yellow flowers freely produced over a long period.
Needs full sun and moderately fertile well drained soil. Will grow in both clay and sandy soils. Reasonably drought tolerant.
Deadhead regularly to prolong flowering.
From seed which usually germinates within 2 weeks. Sow in from February to April, under cover. Transplant after risk of frost.
Bedding and containers.
Supposed to repel insects and used in companion planting with vegetable crops such as potatoes and tomatoes.
Used as a food flavouring.
