Short-lived perennial which produced masses of small, double, white flowers in midsummer. More or less evergreen with aromatic green leaves.
Easy and unfussy to grow in any reasonable soil in full sun or part shade. Will tolerate some drought.
Cut back after flowering to encourage fresh growth.
From seed, which usually comes true. Also from softwood cuttings.
May self seed freely.
Borders or herb garden.
Medicinal herb, used particularly to treat migraine headaches.
