Very fine narrowly columnar small tree with excellent dense, bright emerald green foliage which becomes attractively tinted with deep olivey old gold in winter.
Very hardy. Moist, well drained soil in sun.
May be trimmed to formal shapes or as a hedge, but will not regrow from old wood so this needs to be done with some care.
By cuttings, preferably with a heel, taken in early spring or in autumn.
Good, strongly vertical focal plant or may be used in formal designs as a hardier alternative to the Italian Cypress.
