description:
Compact broadly conical habit, fairly slow growing. Foliage is dark green strongly tipped with golden yellow where it reaches the light. Becomes attractively golden bronze tinged in winter.

cultivation:
Adaptable to most soils including heavy clay, chalk and waterlogged positions, but will not tolerate very dry conditions.
Reaches about 2m. in 10 years.

propagation:
