description:
Relattively short, arching stems and light or yellowish green, veined, lance-shaped leaves with stem-clasping bases.. Both stems and leaves are densely hairy. Beautiful small orchid-like, white to pale lilac flowers with heavy purple spotting, from late summer to mid autumn.
cultivation:
Prefers a moist but well drained, humus-rich, sandy loam in light shade. Will grow in full sun if the soil does not dry out. Can be susceptible to slug damage.
propagation:
By division in early spring.
May produce seed, but will not necessarily come true.
