Relatively short, arching stems and light or yellowish green, veined, lance-shaped leaves with stem-clasping bases.. Both stems and leaves are densely hairy. Beautiful small orchid-like, white to pale lilac flowers with heavy purple spotting, from late summer to mid autumn.
Prefers a moist but well drained, humus-rich, sandy loam in light shade. Will grow in full sun if the soil does not dry out. Can be susceptible to slug damage.
By division in early spring.
May produce seed, but will not necessarily come true.
Named after the Miyazaki Agricultural Experiment Station, Miyazaki University, Japan, where this cultivar was raised.
