Spring flowering bulb. Vibrant scarlet-red flowers edged white and with a lemon yellow base inside, produced in April and May. Purple mottled foliage.
Well drained, preferably neutral to alkaline soil in sun.
Plant bulbs in late summer and autumn at a depth of 10 to 15cm. For best performance, lift bulbs annually after foliage dies back, store and replant.
