description:
Medium sized deciduous shrub with finely toothed dark green leaves. Dense clusters of small tubular, fragrant, pure white or pink-tinged flowers, borne on the bare stems in late autumn and, in mild weather, through winter to early spring. Followed by ovoid red berries, ripening to black, but are not freely produced in the UK.

Any reasonably fertile, moist, well drained soil in sun or part shade.
If required, prune back shoots after flowering.
