Young leaves are distinctly purple, ageing to dark green. Purple tints may re-appear in winter. Long lasting heads of small white flowers, pink flushed in bud, in late winter and early spring. Not as free flowering as the species.

Any reasonably fertile, moist, well drained soil in sun or part shade.
If required, prune back shoots after flowering.
