description:
Beautiful pansy with large flowers in shades of brownish-maroon and purple flared with yellow from the centre and with dark veining. May flower in autumn or spring.

cultivation:
Short-lived perennial usually cultivated as a biennial or annual. Any reasonable, well drained moist soil in full sun or partial shade.

propagation:
From seed sown in early spring or late summer, usually in trays, preferably at between 15 and 20°C. Cover seed lightly and do not exclude light as this helps germination, which usually takes 14 to 21 days. May be transplanted into small pots for over-wintering. Late sowings will flower the following spring.
