Vigorous woody climber with rounded palmate leaves, 3 or 5 lobed. Bunches of green skinned grapes in autumn. Mid season ripening. Disease resistant variety.
Well drained, preferably neutral to slightly alkaline soil, but will grow in most soils. Reliable ripening of fruits needs long warm summers and good sunlight.
Restrain growth by pruning in summer. Hard prune in winter.
Fruit is good for wine making.
Hybrid grape cutivar, bred by Dr. Gerhardt Alleweldt, Siebeldingen, Germany, 1964. A cross between 'Optima' and 'Villard Blanc'.
