description:
Cormous perennial making clumps of sword-shaped leaves. Branched spikes of tubular orange-red to salmon flowers with flaring lobes. Does not normally set seed but produces abundant bulbils on the flower scape.

cultivation:
Moist, well drained, light soil that does not dry out in summer. Not very frost hardy, protect in winter by mulching.

By bulbils or division of clumps.
