description:
Sharply pointed, lance-shaped leaves of dark green with yellow margins. Slowly forms a short stocky trunk and in time creates a large clump. Upright panicles of pendant, bell-shaped white flowers, sometimes tinged with purple. Smaller growing than the species.

cultivation:
Adaptable to most well drained soils and conditions. Performs best on reasonably fertile soil, with regular watering in summer, and full sun. Will tolerate some shade, poor and very alkaline soils and drought. Very resistant to strong winds and thrives in coastal positions.
