Robust clump-forming shrub, eventually developing trunk-like stems. Narrowly lance-shaped, stiff, arching to strongly recurved, leathery bluish to dark green leaves. Upright panicles of pendent, bell-shaped, creamy-white flowers in late summer and autumn. The flowers have a lemony fragrance, especially noticeable on warm evenings.

cultivation:
Adaptable to most well drained soils and conditions. Performs best on reasonably fertile soil, which is not too dry in summer, and full sun. Will tolerate some shade, poor and very alkaline soils, drought and is very hardy. This is the easiest Yucca to grow in most temperate gardens.

Architectural, spiky plant.
